MaryMonica Thomas
|
MaryMonica Thomas' captivating stage presence, smooth voice,
and thoughtful song interpretations have delighted cabaret audiences
in Chicago at Toulouse on the Park, The Gentry, Voltaire, Chicago
Cultural Center, The Royal George Theater and The Mercury Theater.
She is pleased to have debuted her shows “Sepia Tones:
The Music of Dorothy Dandridge” and “The Summer Knows”
to critical acclaim at Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret. In addition,
Ms. Thomas had the special privilege to perform her French cabaret
for the grand opening of the prestigious Le Meridien hotel
on Michigan Avenue, Maxim’s on the Gold Coast, and has performed
at other prestigious hotels and clubs such as Windsor’s Cigar
Lounge in the Palmer House Hilton, Philander’s
at the Oak Park Carlton, and the University and Standard
Clubs in Chicago. She is the recipient of the 2002 After Dark
Award for Outstanding Cabaret Artist.
MaryMonica is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago
with a major in Communications.She started her career as a singer/dancer,
and appeared regionally in musicals at Drury Lane Oak Brook,
Candlelight Dinner Theatre, Apple Tree Theatre, Pheasant
Run Theatre, and Northlight, where she recorded the Chicago
Theatres On The Air premiere of “Working”, starring Charles
Durning.
Currently, MaryMonica keeps passengers dancing the night away while
she croons tunes with the Emerald Deck Band on the Odyssey,

Patty exploded onto the Chicago Cabaret scene directly from New
York City, armed with a solid theatrical background and a "golden
throat" (Chicago Tribune). She has quickly become a familiar face
at venues such as Toulouse on the Park, Pops for Champagne, The
Royal George Theatre Cabaret, The Mercury Theatre, Philanders, Voltaire,
The Gentry, and Eighty-Eights (nyc).
Patty is a 1998 Eugene O'Neill Cabaret Symposium graduate selected
from an extensive nationwide search.
She was a featured soloist in the Chicago Humanities Festival (2000
& 2001) in the Songwriters Now with people such as David Freidman,
Babbie Green, Carol Hall, Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, and
Julie Gold. Patty participated in the Cabaret on the Record series
that had its Chicago debut (May 2001) with such performers as Karen
Mason and Spider Saloff. She performed in the First and Second
Annual Chicago Cabaret Conventions in March 2002 and 2003, held
at the Park West, as well as the NYC Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention
October 2002 at the Town Hall.
Patty both performed in and directed the critically accclaimed Alternative
Songwriter Series at Davenport's. The shows "Grapefruit
Moon, the music of Tom Waits" and "Naked, the music
of Leonard Cohen" ran for an overwhelming 9 month period!

Gail Becker

“Ms. Becker’s rendition was touching and

Gail is a native to Chicago, having grown up in
Batavia, Illinois. She has been performing ever since she could remember and pursued
it at college where she received BFA in Theatre Performance from Miami
University
in Oxford, Ohio.
Gail has been no stranger to the cabaret world, having been at
it for over ten years. She's been seen at numerous venues
such as The Big House, Voltaire, The Gentry,
Magnum's, Tommy Gun's, The Royal George Cabaret,
The Mercury Theatre, Bailiwick Cabaret, and
Davenport's . She has debuted all three
of her shows, “When’s Recess?”, “Naughty & Nice”,
and most recently “Can’t Stop Talking, the songs of Betty Hutton”,
which earned her a four star review, at Davenport's.
Gail can also be seen in the theatre community. She has worked
at Theatre at the Center in Munster, Indiana, Clock
Tower Theatre in Rockford, Pegasus Players, Prologue
Theatre and many others. Gail spends her days as a Program Manager
for AccuRadio, an Internet radio station. She can be heard
on one of their Channels called Cabaretdio.com,
which specializes in cabaret music. She also enjoys choreographing
high school musicals for her hometown, Batavia, IL. Currently,
Ms. Becker is expanding her career including voice-over work, she
hopes to someday narrate books. Click here
